Robert was born and raised in Cedar City, Utah and is a graduate of Cedar High School. He married ShaLiece Proctor in 1991 and they have four children.
Robert attended Southern Utah University and graduated in 1996 with an Associate’s degree in Engineering. He then transferred to the Utah State University to complete his bachelor’s degree and graduated Magna Cum Laude in 1998 with a degree in Civil Engineering. After completing his Bachelors degree Robert continued his education at the University of Wyoming. He graduated in 1999 with a master’s degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in structural design. While earning his Master’s degree, Robert completed research involving strengthening concrete structures with the use of Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymers (CFRP).
Following graduation from the University of Wyoming, Robert accepted an offer with Carl Walker, Inc. and began work in their Denver, CO office. Robert worked for Carl Walker for seven years. He began work as a Design Engineer, as his experience and expertise increased he was promoted to Project Engineer and then to Project Manager. While at Carl Walker, Robert worked on several multi-level concrete parking structures that were constructed throughout the western United States.
In 2003 Robert prepared for and passed the Professional Engineer’s Examination. In 2006 Robert passed the NCEES Structural I and II exams and became licensed as a Structural Engineer in the State of Nevada. Robert is currently licensed as a professional engineer in Utah, Nevada, Arizona, Colorado, Wyoming, Nebraska and Kansas. Robert is also licensed as a structural engineer in Nevada and Arizona.
Robert was hired by GEM Engineering, Inc. in July 2007. |
